Satellites and Starlink trains
Sunlight reflected off orbiting hardware — single satellites, or the evenly spaced line of a recently launched Starlink batch.
How it presents
- Constant angular rate across the sky, no acceleration, no sound.
- Uniform spacing and identical brightness across a line of objects.
- Visible near dusk or dawn, when the object is lit and the observer is not.
What this explanation does not settle
Orbital hardware explains steady point-source lights. It does not explain objects that change heading or that are tracked below orbital altitude.
