Long-form conversation with the people who actually do the work. Respectful. Curious. Never manufactured for conflict.

Our podcast exists for the same reason our writing does. It is another way to answer real questions carefully — this time out loud, with someone who has spent their life inside the subject.
We do not book guests to argue with them. We book them because they know things we do not, and because a good conversation often opens a question a written piece cannot.
The goal is understanding.
Who we talk to
- Coaches — the people responsible for teaching the game.
- Players — active, retired, and the ones nobody else calls.
- Scientists — human performance, recovery, decision-making.
- Executives — the people who actually make the decisions.
- Journalists — the reporters who have earned their sources.
- Historians — because the present did not appear out of nowhere.
How we run a conversation
- We prepare. We read what the guest has written and studied.
- We ask real questions instead of prompting sound bites.
- We disagree respectfully — and on the record.
- We do not manufacture arguments for cliffhangers.
- We edit for clarity, never to distort meaning.
