The Standard on High-Performance Culture

Culture is the word organisations use when they cannot name the mechanism. We treat it as a set of observable behaviours — standards, feedback, accountability — that can be described and, occasionally, measured.

What this field actually measures

Behavioural standard adherence

Whether stated standards are enforced when it costs something.

ReferenceThe only meaningful test of a stated value is what happens to a high performer who breaks it.

Voice behaviour

Frequency of junior members raising problems upward.

ReferenceUsed as a proxy for psychological safety in organisational research.

Turnover and retention

Who leaves, and how quickly, relative to sector norms.

ReferenceLagging indicator, but harder to spin than a survey.

Evidence & metrics

The published work behind the numbers above, and the public datasets you can open to check us. If a claim can’t be traced here, we don’t print it.

  • Can culture be measured before results, rather than narrated after them?

  • How much of 'culture change' is simply roster or staff change?

What we won’t say

We will not credit culture for a championship after the fact. Every winner has good culture in the post-game interview.
