The short answer
1 Enoch 22 shows the dead divided into separate hollow places according to how they lived, each awaiting judgment. Chapters 24–25 describe a fragrant tree on a mountain of fire whose fruit is withheld from humanity until the great judgment, then given to the righteous.
Stated directly in 1 Enoch. Whether it happened is a separate question.
Sorting before sentencing
The compartments are not the verdict; they are the holding pattern before it. That distinction — an interim state that is already differentiated — becomes a fixture of later afterlife thinking.
