Book of Enoch Chapter 14: Modern Reading
The book of the words of righteousness, and the reprimand of the eternal Watchers, in accordance with the command of the Holy Great One in that vision.
In the vision, clouds invited me and a mist called me. The path of the stars and flashes of lightning sped and hurried me on, and the winds in the vision caused me to fly and lifted me upward, and brought me into heaven.
I came near a wall built of hailstones, and tongues of fire surrounded it. I entered into those tongues of fire and drew near to a large house built of hailstones, whose walls were like a mosaic of hailstones, and its floor a floor of crystal.
Its ceiling was like the path of the stars and lightnings, and between them fiery cherubim. A flaming fire encircled its walls, and its doors blazed with fire.
And I looked and saw within it a lofty throne — its appearance like crystal, its wheels like the shining sun, and the vision of cherubim. From beneath the throne came streams of flaming fire so bright I could not look upon it.
The Great Glory sat upon the throne. His raiment was brighter than the sun and whiter than any snow. No angel could enter, and no flesh could behold His face because of its splendor and glory. A flaming fire was around Him, and a great fire stood before Him.
Then He called me and said, 'Come here, Enoch, and hear My word.' And I heard the voice of the Holy Great One as He answered the petition I had brought, and the answer was final.
